As
a child, I was enthralled with coloring books, crayons, and paper dolls.
As an adult, I continue this passion for richness of color, shapes,
textures and pattern. Over the years, I've learned to incorporate these
distinctive features into lively and colorful imagery created with watercolors,
acrylics, oil pastels and collages.
Indiana was my home until I moved to Los Angeles in 1964. In 1998
I moved to Coachella Valley, California. In 1991, I received an Associates
Arts degree at Santa Monica College and in 1997, I graduated from Antioch
University with a B.A. in Liberal Studies.
I have had several one woman art shows, participated in many group
exhibits, and received awards from the Pacific Art Guild and the Santa
Monica Fine Arts Festival.
Photographs of my artwork are cataloged in the archives of the National
Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, D.C.
My artwork is included in many private and corporate collections including
International Creative Management, Great Western Bank, and Kaiser Permanente.
Creating art is a means of expressing my feelings about the world around
us, and brings me great joy. I hope I can share this with you.
